Psychotherapy with a Soul

About Me

For over two decades I worked in various not-for-profit social service agencies serving a broad swath of New York City humanity -- from children through to octogenarians -- on an even broader array of issues.  I worked with individuals, couples, groups and families.  During much of that time I also had a part-time private practice.  My areas of expertise came to be mental health, substance abuse/addiction and trauma; those were the constants in all the places I worked.

Add to that:  Throughout my life I have been interested in the nexus between our inner lives and what is -- for lack of a better term -- called 'spirituality,' yet found few ways to explore this on a clinical level.  In 2012 I completed a Post-Masters Certificate Program in "Social Work and Spirituality" at New York University's Silver School of Social Work.

In my work with individuals and couples I incorporate a deeply humanistic, humble and questioning stance.  Truly supporting what people do comes from an authentic understanding of who they are in all realms -- mind, body and soul/spirit.
